My battery has been pretty bad for a while, but I never bothered too much. Recently, it has completely died - my computer goes almost immediately off when I plug the power cable off.

coconutBattery says my current capacity is at 546mAh (9% of original capacity) at 468 battery loadcyles and 19 months.. are these numbers normal?

Thanks!

If your battery is dead, it can't be normal. My is over year and has 5286 mAh (97% of original capacity) and 25 cycles.

Apple menu(in menubar)|About this Mac|More info|Power... In the Battery section check the 'condition'!

But looking at what CocoB's saying (it picks the info from the above location), you're Battery has lived its life and you'll need to get a new one!
