I'm using a 2009 unibody 2.8 GHz Macbook Pro.

I have a 24" LED Display, so always have the higher graphics card on. However once I unplug from the power at full battery, it normally settles at about ~2:30. Why is this so high? I'm talking about just web browsing etc. Surely it should be at least 3-4 hours considering new it was rated at 6 even on the higher graphics card.

Anyway below is my coconutbattery reading, so that might help.

Also, what is the best way to go about getting a new battery at the apple store? How could I trick them into getting me one?
Thanks

You already have lots of cycles (out of 1000) and have you taken a look at Activity Monitor (SHOW ALL PROCESSES and sorted by CPU)?

Have you taken a look at any of the other hundreds of similar threads about battery life on the 2009 MBP?
MRoogle will help you find them.

Btw, as ergdegdeg already hinted at, you can use the
