MacBook Pro blue screen

Hi all, have read most on this blue screen problem and I´m hoping someone can guide me in the direction to prepare my laptop.

When I turn on the computer it goes to the apple logo and then the little spinning cog. Once this is done it goes into a blue screen, here I have control of my courser. That is all here is where it would stay as long as I would allow. I have tried to reinstall everything with my installation disc, once I do the steps it spits out the disc and it won´t go into the re-installation of the program.

Please help me, I´m lost without my Mac Book Pro 17 inch.

could be a bad HDD or RAM. Try re-seating the RAM and see if that helps. If not, try swapping HDD or making an appointment with a genius.

depends on what year MBP you have. but it will require you taking the bottom off your computer. check the documentation that came with your computer

I understand, by re-seating you mean take it out and restore.
