Hi All. I was considering installing windows 7 on my Macbook pro February 2011 ( dual core 2.7ghz 4 gigs ram and intel hd 3000 graphics) I was wondering if there is any harm that could be done to my computer by doing this. are there any major issues with installing windows 7 on this mac. Will i notice a drop in preference on the mac side? also is there anyway to uninstall windows down the road if i don't need it anymore?
Thanks

You'll be fine. I've got win7 installed on a partition on the wife's mbp, and win7 hums along nicely. The only downside I can see would be the loss of disk space which you'll need to allocate to the windows partition.

Applications > Utilities > Boot Camp Assistant

Uninstalling I can't address as I've not done it yet.

No problems at all !! Runs just as good as any native windows 7 pc!

Un-installing is cake!

To Uninstall:

Spotlight > Boot Camp Assistant > Remove Windows 7 ... It removes windows and merges the partition back to Mac.

Done!

Here's Apple's documentation on it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1461

Goodluck and enjoy!
