I am looking to replace my aging Mid 2009 MacBook Pro, my budget is aound 900$ My options are :
Buy a 2011-2012 Anti-glare Hi-res MBP
Buy a refurb 13in rMBP
Any other suggestions
 
Those are hard to come by nowadays, someone in the apple store 15in hi-res one

Yes, the 17-inch MacBook Pro is hard to find these days. Mine is the Late 2011 model.

You might also look into the pre-owned MacBook Pro 15 Retina Early 2013. I bought mine for $400, but I doubt that you'll be as lucky.

Did you buy online, or locally (ex: Craigslist)
 
O.K. so I have narrowed it down to a few options,
15in Mid 2011 quad 2.4 i7 high-res anti-glare 8GB RAM for $799
15in Mid 2012 quad 2.3 i7 Retina 2.3GHz 8GB RAM for $890 OBO
17in Mid 2010 Dual i7 Anti-Glare 8GB for $699

My biggest concern is with the dual Core i7, i'm coming from a mid 2009 C2D 2.GHz, would the perfromance be more or less the same?
