I just got a macbook pro. Wanted to install xcode tools. Inserted the application install DVD. Xcode tools wasn't on there. I then ejected the disk. So far so good.

I inserted the Mac OS X install DVD. erm, problem started here. It was spinning like the disk wasn't centered and making HUGE noises. Not unlike ones from: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y9c5uDII3g

It didn't recognise the disk and I kept pressing eject for like 10 seconds and there was no response, it just kept spinning making clunking noises. I put it to sleep so the drive went to sleep too. Woke it up again and tried to eject. This time, no clunking noises. Just beeps, which I suspect signals a failure to eject the disk. I put the computer to sleep again for fear of worsening the problem, went walked out to plan my trip to the apple store the next day.

When I came back, the macbook pro was still asleep (with its cover down), but the disk came out. (lol how?) I woke it up and put the disk back in and XCode tools was there and everything seemed normal again.

Has any had the same experiences? If not then should I go check it out anyways? It doesn't seem to be easily repeatable...
