MacBook Pro charger making noise

When I plug in my MacBook to charge I hear from the power brick a small buzzing noise is that normal?

I only hear the sound when I put power brick close to my ear.

my MacBook is 6 months old only

It's probably fine, but if it bothers you I'd take it in to Apple.

it does not bother at all it's a small noise but the charger does get hot

Is it gone when the MacBook is done charging? You just might be hearing it when it's charging since it's transforming the AC power from the outlet to usable DC charging power.

Correct then it goes to a small beeping noise then no sound at all

Hey I've got the exact same problem as you man, I've only had my macbook for about a year and only just now noticed the noises - its only audible when its in a quiet room, and is louder when you scroll for me.

Did Apple say anything was wrong with ur charger, or do you think all/some chargers do this and its not a cause for concern?

i don't hear the sound only when i put it close to my ear only but both chargers do the same thing.apple care told me it was normal.

yes it normal since both my chargers do the same thing

Thats just normal humming coming from the step-down transformer inside the brick. All AC/DC adapters do this to some degree some are just more audible than others
