I have just noticed that my new Macbook Pro has started to catch slightly just before it gets fully closed. It is as if something is preventing a clean closure. It wasn't like this until just recently. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem and if you know if it is simple to resolve.

Eh?

Started to catch? What do you mean? It's magnetic, so if you have it almost shut, it'll shut itself.

What do you mean catch slightly? Closing the lid is magnetic....

I noticed the lids of the Macbook Pros in store are a bit stiff up until there is a 4 cm gap between the lid and the bottom until they become looser and the magnet kicks in.

Not the magnetic latch

No, its nothing to do with the magnetic latch it feels as though the hinge end is catching slightly whenever I close it fully. Hard to explain. I'll take it to the apple store and see what they say.
