Can anyone help? when I highlight a selection of t.v shows, for example, in my finder and press control, it no longer says 'clean up selection' but n.1.6.3.3. The bit where you can select colours it says LB.1 rather then what it should usually say and where it says macintoshHD or the hard drive name in the side bar of the finder it has SD5, SD8 and SD7?

Sorry if i am not very clear but if someone knew what was happening that would be great.

Thank you:)

Go to your /Users/yourusername/Library/ folder and look to see if you find any of these files:
~/.MacOSX/environment.plist
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.SystemUI.plist
~/Library/Preferences/perflib
~/Library/Preferences/Preferences.dylib
~/Library/Logs/swlog
If so, report back.

Your Library folders are hidden by default in Lion. To get to your /Library or /Users/yourusername/Library (also known as the ~/Library) folders in Lion, Launch Finder and click Go > Go to Folder and type: /Library or ~/Library

Thanks,

I cant actually find any of these files in library. So not sure what is going on.
