Macbook Pro connections crappy?

i just got my macbook pro yesterday and noticed my right usb port is really loose. when i put a usb plug in there, it moves up, down, left, right, and feels cheap. the other ports don't wiggle as much but plugging things like an ethernet wire feels really rough and not smooth and solid. is this normal?

Take it back to the store, and ask for a new one.

No problems here. I would definitely take it in to the GB.

the plugs move one or two millimetres in all 4 directions when plugged in. when you guys say your ports are solid, do you mean they don't move at all? and how often do loose ports lead to broken ones? i really prefer not making the trip to the apple store.

I would say...99% of the time. Or maybe that was just my Dell laptop. But all ports were loose, and they all broke. Ethernet, usb, the whole shabam

I have some movement on mine. Its normal. (UNLESS the connection itsself is moving. The cable or dongle you have plugged in will usually move a little but you shouldnt be able to stick a pen in there and move the port itsself much) I see it on pretty much every computer I touch. I would really have to see the computer though to know how much movement its giving.

If its so loose that cables are falling out etc then I would take it back. If its just a little movement I wouldnt worry about it. I just wiggled mine around a decent bit.

yeah, i tried the pen thing and the port itself doesn't seem to be moving much. i don't think it's broken. thanks!
