Hello, I have a MacBook Pro 17 unibody from the early 2009,and i would like to know the difernce betwen my cpu wich is core 2 duo 2.9ghz and a i5 2.5ghz

Without knowing specifics, I can say that the i5 is quite a bit faster.

How do you know which i5 he's talking about? The 13" MBP has a dual core 2.5GHz i5.

Regardless, the i5 is going to be faster than the Core2 Duo.
