I recently upgraded my 15" 2.8ghz mbp from 4 to 8 gb of ram. It was compatable with the computer. it worked fine when I first installed and booted up the computer, everything was dandy. Today in class though, my computer ran out of battery, upon plugging it in and restarting, it froze. It was fine in the login process, I could shut down, restart whatever from the login window. Once I logged in it loads the wallpaper, dock and menu bar (no icons). It then freezes and I can't do anything at all.

I can use safe boot to get in. I've tried taking the ram out and putting it back in (incase I inserted it improperly), and I've held cmd+option+p+r to reset the pram.

What do I do?
