My 15" Macbook Pro (Late 2008) stopped turning on and recharging the battery. I'm about 80% sure it has something to do with the DC-in board from but I don't want to buy a $50 part and have it still not turn on.

I since bought a Macbook Pro 13" (2010) and was wondering if it was possible to simply swap the DC-in board and it will work? I'm only asking because I don't want to dismantle my laptop and after hours of work it won't fit :(

So does anyone know for sure if it works, doesn't work or might as well try it and find out?

These are the part numbers

For the MBP 13"
Product code: IF163-011-1
Apple Part #: 661-5235

For the MBP 15"
Product code: IF161-013-1
Apple Part #: 661-4950

They appear very similar, thats the only reason I'm asking.
