I have recently started getting a problem with burning CDs and even reading some burnt CDs. I have tried on itunes, toast, and disk utility.

I have used the CD brand before, they are from the same spindle actually.
I can read normal CDs and DVDs just not burnt CDs, Not sure about Burnt DVDs.

Anyone know why or might know why this is happening?

I talked to the people at the Apple Store, i just didn't take my MBP in at that time so he couldn't look at it. I hope i don't have to send it in to get fixed. Who knows when i will get it back and that would mean i would have to use a PC. ugh!

I am attaching 2 error images i got when i burned from itunes. it's the same error toast and disk utility gave me too.

Hmm. I've been having the same issue myself. I'll admit, it's not bothered me too much though, as I really don't want to take my MBP in for service, and I can use my external drive or my server's DVD drive through SSH and wget.

Thing is, it worked fine for me before. I wonder if it's just the new type of CDs I've been using.
