Hi,
Can I connect external SSD HD in enclosure to the display and keep reconnecting/disconnecting laptop from the display and not worry about corruption etc of the data on the HD?
Its a pain to remember to disconnect especially when laptop is in power save mode, or not actually since it is still a pain to remember to eject.
Thanks

If the drive is not being written to, you're fine. Does it remain powered when connected to your monitor?

nope the power goes down as soon as laptop is disconnected. I think I would make sure that it is not written to but it is hard to say if it is being read. I would think that would not be a problem. Pulling power every time that is what concerns me, but given that it is an SSD I would hope that is not a problem?
