MacBook Pro Display Models In-Store

So I checked out the two display-models in-store. They have each inside a plastic tube for viewing-only. Yes - they're thin. And the screen looks great. But the OLED bar looked kind of bland and washed out. Not bright like I'm used to seeing iOS and MacBook screens. Maybe it's the content being shown or the lighting in the store or the plastic tube I was forced to look through, but the screen seemed to detract from the overall appearance of the device even if it ultimately proves to be useful.

Does anyone else who has seen them in-person feel the same?
