I recently encountered a problem with my MacBook pro display. When I turn on my MacBook it chimes but instead of going to the apple logo screen it stays white unless I plug it into my tv using the mini display port. When I plug the MacBook into the tv I can see the display on the tv perfectly, but the display on the MacBook changes from white to a weird purple, black, and white lined screen where I can't even make out anything on the display. The lines sort of move on the MacBook as I move the mouse or open an app like its trying to work but stays like it is. I tried resetting the pram already and my MacBook is up to date. I'm just trying to get a second opinion before I spend the money to get a new logic board or display. I have no apple care either. Any help would be greatly appreciated
