I have been waiting on the parts to fix my MBP on which the display bezel had broken.

While the broken bezel left the screen unsupported, the display itself still worked totally fine.

Today, the parts came in to repair it, consisting of a new front bezel and the rear display housing.

I removed the broken parts and swapped the LCD into the replacement bezel and housing, reconnected all the cables on the display and on the logic board, went to fire it up and................... Nothing!

The computer itself works fine, I get the familiar boot sound, but the display does not come on at all.

UPDATE: The display is in fact working fine, but the backlight LEDs are not coming on, leaving a black screen.
