These screen shots are taken from EveryMac.Com; the website that gives you your computer's technical specifications according to its serial number. The serial number for this computer is W87305HTX91. The computer does not want to operate with the battery installed. With the battery installed, I have no ability to move the cursor or to use the keyboard. With the battery removed, everything works fine. Once the battery is reinstalled, I have to take it back out and do the restart reset by pushing the [option][command][R][P] keys and holding the keys depressed until after the second chime. After doing that, I'm able to move the cursor and use the keyboard again. I believe that may be called a PRAM reset? At any rate, I suspect the computer does not like the battery anymore. The battery is no good anyway because it will only hold about a 3 minute charge. But up until about two weeks ago, the computer would still operate fine with the battery installed. Now I suspect, for whatever reason, the computer doesn't want the battery installed at all anymore and that a new battery will cure the issue. I'm hoping one of you can verify that for me. :)

I don't see any reason a new battery wouldn't work fine. Why not get one used-ebay where the seller offers returns-to try it out?
