Macbook pro doesnot power on might be motherboard spoiled

My Mac book Pro 13.3/2.4/2X2GB doesnot power on. I connect the power adapter, the green/red led is also not on. Apple service centre diagnose and say the motherboard spoiled and charging me 1200 SGD?
It is only 15 months old and No luck, i am out of warranty.

Guys any suggestion.

Sadly for you there is no Apple Store in Singapore, nor do they have the same rights as in Europe for instance.
BUT, If I were you I would contact Apple directly and say it is just ridiculous it broke down just after 1 year.
If they don't accept it call again and again, or write emails again and again, this might help you, Apple overall has good service.
I know Singapore, been there many times and claiming warranty is a pain in the behind especially in those non Apple stores.
