My Macbook Pro 15 (Mac OS X 10.6.8) doesn't recognize my iPhone 4s (iOS5.1)

Suddenly it stopped, last time was April 11 via Wi-Fi.
Now even with the device plugged it can't be recognized.

On iPhone Settings, the "iTunes Wi-Fi Sync" tab is grayed.

Few days ago iPhone started to behave strangely, refusing to power off, sometimes not charging when plugged to USB port, sometimes does.

Don't know what to do.

Thanks in advance
best

If you have a recent backup, just restore the phone, you are at 5.1 anyway.

Go into DFU-mode and restore via iTunes

My girlfriends iphone4 was doing the same thing. Ended up being water damaged even though she refused to except it. I guess those 30 minute hot showers finally not only did a toll on me but also on her phone lol...
