Macbook Pro DVD Player audio problems

Since installing the last OSX update, whenever I play a DVD (with the MBP connected to my Hi Fi) the audio increases and decreases in volume about every 20 seconds. Has anyone else had this problem and what should I do? Thanks

I'm having this exact same problem, but on an iMac. It first happened during my DVD series of Spaced, but is also happening on Black Books now. Any ideas anyone?

I just noticed this was happening on my early 08 MBP. I remember my old drive did this with certain discs too, but I had that repaired for a disc error. Does this have to do with disc protection?Happens with a Shaun of the Dead disc. Maybe it's Nick Frost.
