so i own a macbook pro early 2008 (1260) 17 inch
i've been trying to get a hdd caddy working but i cant get it to show up
the only thing it does is supply power to the hdd/ssd connected but nothing shows up in disk utility]
i saw some pics online with people using a hdd caddy on this machine but so far i have no luck
i had 3 hdd caddies from 2 sellers (1 is a replacement as i thought it was faulty)
another one is bought from aliexpress wich is the same one but slimmer (advertised as working on this machine)
the original cd drive works fine but so far no luck with a second drive
my goal is to put 2x 850 evo 500 gb ssd's in raid 0 to essentially go faster then the max 210 mbs read i''m having (i already got the 2 drives ready for this)
i''m willing to go as far as hardware modding to get a second drive build in
i was thinking of modding a expresscard esata into it or something similair but i need some input first on this
any tips?
