Hello

I have a Macbook Pro Early 2008:
Processor 2,4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 256 MB

I currently run MAC OS X Lion and i'm wondering if i would upgrade to mac os x Snow Lion (When I upgraded to Lion my mac became a bit slower)???

Thx

It's called Mountain Lion, as the forum demonstrates, not Snow Lion. You're thinking of Snow Leopard.

In any case I would suggest it. Your computer is compatible with ML and I've found it to be much snappier on my 2011 iMac than I ever found Lion to be. If I could install it on my 2008 macbook (closer to your specs, slightly lower actually) I'd let you know how it does but alas I'm no longer compatible.

From what I can tell ML is what Lion should have been. Its not hogging nearly as many resources (mainly RAM) and overall runs smoother.

With that said though, as with any OS upgrade, back up your data using Time Machine or anything else. That way if something happens during install you can revert back and if you aren't satisfied for some reason it's much easier to return to Lion.
