So my battery swelled up, which is actually the 3rd time this has happened to me!
With no battery the Macbook runs at 800mhz instead of 2.3ghz. I think this is normal.
I bought a cheap battery off ebay, and it still runs at 800mhz, returned that and tried nother cheap battery, 800mhz too.
If I put the old swelled up one in it runs full speed again.
The obvious thing is to return the battery and get a genuine Apple one. Before I do that has anyone had any good results with any of the aftermarket brands and if so which one?
I put an Lavolta one in my White Unibody Macbook and that worked ok. I know its probably worth spending that little extra but thought I would check, I use the macbook as a desktop so doesnt even need a battery really...
