I have tried two types of Ram on my MBP so far. 1st Komputerbay. Obviously a cheap brand and was not surprised it didn't work. Now I bought the crucial brand from Amazon.

Long story short it does the same thing the komputerbay brand did. when I put in both 4gb ram it start gear spinning then freezes. If I do 1 4gb and 1 2gb it will start up and shows the 6gb. How do I get the full 8????

Help!!!!!

I just ordered RAM from Crucial.com, according to the reviews its really good. As soon as I get it I'll let know if it works fine. I do have an early 2011 Macbook Pro 13 inch

What speed/type is the RAM? I recently upgraded to 8GB as well, but went with GSkill since it was on sale at the time. 1333 MHz DDR3 PC3 10600 is what mine is and it works like a charm.

1033 I am running it on 6gb right now. Going to call crucial in a bit.
