Macbook Pro early 2011 - work with leopard?

I have recently bought a refurbed 17inch early 2011 macbook pro. I have an imac with leopard and all of my music bits on it and would like to migrate it across and have the macbook pro set up identically.

Can I do this? I'm not sure if the macbook pro will run leopard or not?

I'd imagine you'd run into some fairly major instability issues with Leopard (10.5.x).

OK, thats worth knowing. Just half my plugins for logic don't work with lion. Really annoying!
