Hi, can anyone recommend a decent and reliable router for a Macbook Pro Early 2015 I currently have a Virgin Media Super Hub 2ac But it doesn't work properly with my mac on the 5G band the connection is always intermittent dropping out every few seconds and I don't want to go out and buy another router just to have the same issue I'm not too bothered about the price I'm looking at about £200 max.

5G connections always have shorter range than 2G, especially when there is any structure involved. Make sure that distance and structural interference are not the issue.

With that said, I have been happy with Asus routers and my macs, windows, and Android devices. I use both 2.4 GHz and 5GHz bands and have good luck with all my devices.
