Macbook Pro Express Slot Usage

Hi

So I have just started thinking to myself. I need more HD space for my Macbook Pro. (Not unibody.) What kind of products are there for the Express slot (correct me if it isn't named that) on the side of my laptop? I was thinking I could expand my HD a little, or is it not worth it through this method?

Also, if it isn't worth it. What other types of things can I use it for? Thanks.

You can get expresscard SSDs

or you can get a card reader.

Esata.... mmm and tons of possibilities and oh, a SD slot.

Or you can get an eSATA adapter, Firewire 400 or 800 adapter, cellphone broadband card, adapter for more USB ports and even a 12-in-1 card reader.

The possibilities are endless. I will be buying a 17" MBP in the near future so I hope they do not get rid of it for a friggin SD reader.

Cool thanks guys for the quick responses. Hmm SSDs are pretty pricey at the moment. Whats the largest SD card I could get?
