So My MacBook Pro (Early 2008) Seems to have just died on me. It Starts up with a crackling noise in the speakers and stays at the white screen, then i reboot it and get 3 beeps, then then it will boot into mac os x lion then just lock up.. I Have no idea what It could be. The Ram is fairly new and it has been working fine.

Sounds like a RAM issue. 3 beeps could either be from defective RAM or that it's not seated correctly. Try opening it and make sure they are seated all the way in. If that doesn't help, take the new RAM sticks out and try the old ones. If it works, then try each new RAM stick and see if one is spitting out the errors.

Here's a chart I found on Apple Support. 3 beeps is RAM, I know that by heart. +1'd on checking all your sticks.
