Macbook Pro Fan Problem!!

Hi all, Basically my 1st generation Macbook Pro fan has got to the point where its not whining, its shouting! The noise from the right fan is terrible, at 1k rpm there is no sound at all, anything over it and its just ridiculously loud. I bought the notebook off of ebay about half a year ago now and it doesn't have any receipt or applecare, basically im just wondering what the hell I can do!!

You can adjust it with a free app called smcFanControl
But if it is defective, you will have to bite the bullet and get it replaced/serviced
You don't want a MBP to go without a fan ;)
