When i started the application handbreak my CPU temperature reached imediatly 80º but my fans didn't increase rpm. I have smcFanControl installed but wanted to see if the fans increased by themeselfs but nothing...
Apreciate any help..thanks

(Sorry about the bad english)

The fans take time to speed up by themselves. SMS Fan Control or iStat Menus accelerate them manually and instantly. How long did you wait ?

How crucial l is it to install the smcFanControl to get the fan to accelerate faster? For those that are not aware of small computer maintenance such as these, does it damage the computer sooner than those who control the fan? Why doesn't Apple make sure that fans boot up by themselves?

Thanks
