Macbook Pro Fire Wire connection help!

Hi there,

Hope I've posted in the right section!

I have a Macbook Pro and trying to work out how to best connect it to an Audio Interface and My Book storage

The Interface is FW400, The My Book is FW 800 (as is the Macbook)

Would I just need a FW400-800 into the My Book then a FW 800 into the Macbook.
Also does it matter which FW input you use on the My Book for either Mac or Interface?

Thanks for the help, this all confuses me!
