Hi, I'm new here.

Wanted to get a MacBook pro for my work(my first Mac). I need to use Osirix almost daily for image viewing, processing and 3D MPR. In addition, will be doing some web browsing, email, watching video. Not doing any intensive video editing.

Just wondering the MacBook Pro 13 (2015) dual core i5, 8gb Ram and 128ssd, is good enough to run OSIRIX smoothly?

Or do you all think the MacBook pro 15 inch (2015) base model will be a better option?

Anyone here has any idea? Thanks in advance.

128GB will be quite limiting. Don't cripple yourself with such a tiny amount of storage.

Get a 256GB SSD.

However, if you're going to use Osirix daily, I'd suggest a baseline 15" rMBP. The larger screen estate is beneficial - not to mention the added processing power and graphics from the quad core.
