Macbook Pro Freeze when opening Keynote

I have a 15" Macbook Pro which I use everyday more or less extensively. I rarely turn it off, rather keep it in Sleep Mode when I don't use it.

My issue is that the computer freezes when I open Keynote, usually when I open a file someone has sent me by email. The file opens directly in Fullscreen view, and the computer is completely stuck. The slideshow is stopped, nothing I do works to exit or quit Keynote. I finally press the Off button with a pinch in my heart

Try repairing permissions through Disk Utility.
