MacBook Pro freezes/crashes when I playing youtube videos. Need Help!

Hi there,

For a couple of months this have been ha huge problem for me. But first, some specs:

MacBook Pro 15" mid 2010 (6,2)
OSX Version 10.6.8 (latest Snow Leopard)
8 GB RAM
Intel SSD 120GB 330 series

Sometimes when I start a youtube movie my MacBook freezes.
The screen turns black, but the keyboard backlight is still on, but I can't do anything. This can also happend when I looking through files with Quick Look (if that's the right name)

Here are some things that I've tried to solve the problem:
The browser I've been using is Google Chrome. I've tried to uninstall flash and reinstalled it again, with no results.
I've reinstalled Chrome. Nothing changed.

I did format the drive and re-installed the system. No result.
Then I bought a SSD and everything worked fine for a few days, but now it's crashing again. I must force kill the MacBook Pro when this happens, and when I start it up again I got this report:

Can someone please help me?
 
Looks like Nvidia GeForce kext is noted in the report, as is NVRm with a faild read string; I think it's safe to say the graphics chip in your laptop might be having problems communicating with its built in memory.

Seems this problem is repeating, even after a system restore; I'd think it might be best to visit an Apple Store with that report, and ask them if they know of any solution.

If you have AppleCare you will be covered for the visit it work is required, I do believe the visit to the genius bar is free though.

I'll wait some more. Maybe someone ese will have a solution?
 
Just today I started having constant freezes when entering Youtube and trying to play some videos.

Safari would completely freeze. The rest of the system works OK. I have a 2011 MBP.

Could it be a problem with Youtube or Flash?
 
It died again!

I had the same problem. You got a grey layer over the screen with error messages in different languages as well?

I have a unibody MacBook Pro 15", late 2008.

I actually took it to the Genius Bar, here in Sweden, where they ran som tests and took it in for service. They thought it was a faulty HDD so I switched it to a brand new Intel SSD 330 180gb. It worked fine for a while when all of a sudden it happened again. The people at the Apple Store also mentioned that the extra RAM (8GB) I had put it weren't original Apple and therefore wasn't totally supported. But since they had worked fine for at least a year I didn't think they were causing the problem. But I gave it a try and put the original RAM back in and haven't had any problems since.
