Hello. I have a brand new macbook pro that freezes after about 30 seconds of use. I did some reading, and supposedly 10.5.2 fixed this problem. But I have updated to the latest version of leopard (10.5.5). And the problem still exists. What should I do next?

thanks,bj

What applications are running when this happens? Did you load anything other than what came with the unit? How long do you wait for the system to respond and are you hard reseting the machine (holding down power until it goes off) each time this happens?

Have you tried booting from the Leopard DVD and running disk utility?

I've never tried it but people here always suggest resetting PRAM and some other system setting. I'm sure someone else will chime in on those.

Cheers,
