MacBook Pro freezing after waking up from sleep

Hello.

A friend of mine is having issue with their mid-2010 Macbook Pro (13-inch). After waking up the system will freeze. It has had two new logic board replacements for this issue but it still remains which means that it may be a software issue.

I have asked them to reinstall OSX, add a new OSX account (to see if software is the issue) and to go to sleep with no additional programs running but they have not got back to me about it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this?
