Hi,

I have a 15'' Penryn MacBook Pro (Early 2008) with an Nvidia chipset.

When i am playing games, my MacBook Pro just freezes at random times and continue's after 30seconds. It occurs once every 30-45min.

Could this be a GPU error?

Thanks,

Is this in Boot Camp using Windows or is this happening in Mac OS X? If it is the latter, check your Console to see if there are any NVChannel(GL) errors.

It most likely is. To verify go to spotlight and search Console. Launch it and type "NV" without quotes and see if you get anything along the lines of "NV...Graphics Channel Timeout...Exception..."

It's happening in OSX. I got no hits for NV.

But this show's up almost every second:

Code:
24-11-08 14:47:04 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.app4mac.CheckUpAgent[19424]) posix_spawn("/Applications/CheckUp.app/Contents/MacOS/CheckUpAgent", ...): No such file or directory
24-11-08 14:47:04 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.app4mac.CheckUpAgent[19424]) Exited with exit code: 1
24-11-08 14:47:04 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.app4mac.CheckUpAgent) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

Maybe i need to watch the console when it happens again?

/Edit: Fixed the CheckUpAgent stuff.. Just reinstalled the application.
