Hi, Brother got a macbook pro low end new one, the ones they sell right now. He doesnt have the receipt, and hes not sure if it was purchased with in 14 days, can he return it?

It never hurts to call up your local Apple Store and ask, as the serial number is on the box, or try entering the serial number into the Apple Support website it should tell you when it was purchased and entered into their system.
I hope he is returning it to get a higher level one, or to wait until the new ones come out.

just did the support thing, and it says apple care valid til august 15 2009. So that means it was purchased a month ago. Cant return that can I?

unfortunately no because Apple has a 14 day return policy.
i would put it up for sale in the marketplace or craigslist.
or better yet enjoy it???
any reason in particular he wants to get rid of it?
