i got a mid 2015 macbook pro as gift for a relative who has recently graduated ( purchased it two weeks ago, and they were suppose to be arriving this week, however they have delayed the trip another two weeks or so )

Will the macbook pro/ battery be harmed in anyway if it hasn't been switched on during that period ?( it is inside the box, factory sealed )
