I am about to send in my MacBook Pro for the second time in a year as the replacement GPU has just failed. This is going to make Christmas shopping and comparison much more difficult.

I have heard of people sometimes recieving compensation for this level of inconvenience...should I be asking for something? Not something as drastic as a new machine (the screen on mine is PERFECT), but I have been looking to buy Logic Studio...

(keeping in mind I have full Apple Care)

Well, after my 3rd repair (fan, screen, logic board, trackpad changed) I got a coupon for the Apple store which was 120€ ($160US)...

My 1.83CD had the logic board fail once.
My 2.2 C2D had it fail thrice.
My 2.4 C2D unibody has yet to fail, if the news going around the internet is right it's only a matter of time before it does.

I sold my 1.83 and bought the 2.2. After the 2nd failure they upgraded my 2.2 to a 2.6. After that failed (and 3 screen replacements) they gave replaced it with a unibody.
