Hi,

I'm using bootcamp to run windows 7, macbook pro 15" early 2011 model. Is there any way to use the integrated intel hd 3000, as opposed to the dedicated ati 6490m 256mb v/ram, or even perhaps both simultaniously to boost graphics perforance. Have searched high and low and i can't seem to find anything related to this

Cheers

You cannot use them in conjunction, this is not supported at a hardware level.

As to using the HD3000, why would you want to? Is battery life a concern? I'm not aware of a way to force the usage of the HD3000, as I don't think Windows contains the necessary software for the live switching implementation that Apple uses.

There is no way short of editing the UEFI settings and still it probably wouldn't work. Cannot be done by any normal person.
Using both simultatniously is entirely impossible not even Apple could make that work without some serious redesigns.
