So, I just got the new base line 13 inch macbook pro. I updated to Mountain Lion. The problem is, everytime I wake it up from sleep, doesn't matter how long it stayed at sleep mode ( If I close for 10 seconds and open it again for example, or let it asleep for a day) it shows a blue screen for about 5 seconds and then the OS kicks in. Is it supposed to be like this ?

make sure you Airplay is not still set to AppleTV, if you were connected to a external monitor in clamshell mode you might just need to reconnect to external monitor then put mbp to sleep and disconnect from external monitor

if you never used either of these features im stumped

Nop. Never used those features. The mpb is 2 days old.

Chances are, your laptop is reloading the everything to the state that it was before it went to sleep. It takes a few seconds to transfer this data from the HDD to the RAM. Would probably be faster if you had a SSD.

Really? My friends mpb don't do that. And its the older version. I'm thinking about making a clean install of mountain lion.

I see that on my machine when I plug in or unplug an external display. I've got the same machine you do, with ML; never seen what you describe.

Reinstalled Mountain Lion. Nothing changed. its Really strange! I see that my iMac shows at the airplay mirroring as an option. Could it be the cause ?

One question: is it normal to show a fast blue screen after open de lid or waking from sleep ?

Now that I've unchecked the "put hard drive to sleep when possible" under the preferences, its apparently solved. Is it safe to have the hd always awake? Could it cause any problem?
