Macbook Pro Hard Disk Issue.

Ok I am new to macs. I tried to move my hard disk to my desktop, since it wasnt there. Then all of a sudden when i tried to pull it from the finder onto the desktop it just disappeared... What do i do to get it back?

Go to Finder and in the sidebar, find your Mac under devices. Then, drag Macintosh HD into the sidebar under Devices.

To get Macintosh HD on your desktop, go to Finder>Preferences>General and click "Hard Disks" under show these items on the desktop.
