At present 500GB either Hitachi or samung do them, the Hitachi only fits in 17'' pro's though

As long as the drive is no taller than 9.5mm, it will fit into the MBP 15inch.

That's what I'm saying the Hitachi is 12.5mm so will only fit in 17'' pro's

The Hitachi is both biggest in Size and Capacity.

The Samsung is only tied in Capacity.

Hey all, I am thinking of installing one myself, but I'm having a hard time deciding what to install. I am looking to spend around $200 give or take a few and for the same size (160Gig) or larger. Does anyone have opinions on whether it's worth paying for an SSD or if going for size is better?? I was looking into OWC mercury drives (costly though) or a standard spinning drive, like the 500 Gig Seagate Momentus XT 7200. Thanks!!
