ok, i was wondering how to upgrade my hard drive. i am running out of gigabytes of hard drive space, its down to 10 gb, and i need to add more. is this a process of removing my hard drive, or just adding onto it? if i replace it, will i still have all of my information and programs?
thanks in advance

Your hard drive has all your information on it. If you remove it, you can't access your data anymore.
Regardless of the MBP, make a bootable copy of your current drive to your new 2.5 inch SATA or you will have to reinstall leopard and use time machine (you have a backup, right?)
