Ok so this happen twice already.
I often check my finder to see how my hd space i have left. Sometimes i would download stuff and import video, and the available space would go down to 60 gb or so. then couple of days later i would go up to 90 gb remaining. This is the internal drive that came with my mbp. Now this would happen without me deleting any major files. In fact i don't think i deleted anything in the past couple of days.

What the hell is going on lol.

What OS are you using (10.4 or 10.5)?

Sometimes the Finder doesn't show the accurate size of the HD.

You could try iStat Menus form iSlayer, it is a Menu Bar add on.

Or click the HD and open the Information window (Command + I).

Or it could be the temporal virtual memory, how big gets yours? (Activity Monitor)

Did you restart before the space got up again?
