I recently ordered a 13" MBP with 250GB HD, this is nowhere near enough so I am planning on changing it instantly. What is the best/most reliable HD available 640GB or more? Sorry I have no idea what I am looking for.
Also, will it significantly decrease battery life or boost the noise?
Thanks in advance and sorry if it has been asked before, but the PC I am currently using won't work with the search engine for some reason

Lots of threads
Lots of personal opinions

I personally recommend the Western Digitals
Others will have their favorites as well, based on their experiences

1TB is the biggest available for MBP. It's quite pricey but if you need a lot storage, it's your best choice. It's 5400rpm drive so battery life and noise level will remain the same.

EDIT: Second MacDawg, WD makes very decent HDs and the 1TB I linked is WD

So the 1TB will definitely fit in one of the newest 13" MBPs?
Anyone know where it's available in the UK?

EDIT: Found it here reasonably priced: http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?origin=gbase26.7&prodID=B275343 (I can claim VAT back) just want to be sure this is the same one.

One last question (sorry), do I need any special tools at any point during the HD replacement?
