If you want the HDMI adapter to do audio as well as video your options are limited. I've read when I was looking that some that claim to pass the audio as well don't. I ended up getting this one from Best Buy. It was surprisingly the cheapest I could find that did audio for sure. It works great.

I have the $11.50 one and it works great. No issues at all with it. I'm sure if one of them works the other three will.

I bought the one that does not pass audio before they posted that it does not and I can confirm that it for sure does not :p

EDIT: the one you linked says it does not pass audio. So, unless you plan on having audio through something other than your tv I would pass on that one.

I'll be interested to know how you get on.

I have a Summer 2010 ( that doesn't have audio out apparently ) MBP and even though my monitor supports 1080p, the image quality is terrible :(

I was lead to believe it was only the i5 and i7 core models that supported it

I purchased Griffin's Video Display Converter off Amazon for like $25 shipped a few weeks ago. It not only supports audio but also has a snap on adaptor for DVI, so it's two in one.

I`m using the cablesson adapter which cost less than £10 on Play.com in the UK and its been faultless.
Supports audio and the build quality seems really good too.
